Job summary

Viasat is seeking a Senior Compensation Analyst to join the People, Brand & Culture Team. The role leads complex compensation projects, delivers high-level analysis to HR and leaders, and supports annual merit, bonus, and equity planning cycles.

The position requires 8+ years in compensation with 3–5 years in Workday, strong data skills, and ability to influence stakeholders in a fast-paced environment. US Citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive compensation experience, with 3–5 years focused on Workday compensation management.
• Proficiency with Workday configuration, including business processes, eligibility rules, reports, and calculated fields.
• Mastery of complex functions (INDEX-MATCH, XLOOKUP), Power Query, Power Pivot, macros (VBA), and data modeling.
• Ability to create dynamic dashboards using Excel to present compensation data, trends, and market analysis.
• Strong understanding of compensation principles, benchmarking, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Annual Compensation Planning: Manage end-to-end annual compensation review in Workday, including prep, testing, training, processing.
• Data Analysis and Reporting: In-depth analysis of data to identify trends, model costs, ensure pay equity and market competitiveness; develop Workday dashboards.
• Benchmarking and Market Pricing: Conduct market salary surveys; benchmark positions and develop salary structures, grades, and ranges.
• Compliance and Audits: Ensure practices comply with laws; conduct audits in Workday for data integrity.
• Training and Change Management: Develop and deliver training materials for compensation programs and Workday processes.
• Process Improvement: Drive automation and optimization within Workday.
• Rewards Program Support: Collaborate with Rewards team for administrative support.
