Job summary

Devon Partnership NHS Trust in Exmouth is seeking two experienced Band 6 Senior Mental Health Practitioners to join the Core Adult Mental Health Team. Two posts: one substantive full-time and one fixed-term/secondment, both 37.5 hours over 5 days, based in Exmouth and surrounding area.

The successful candidates will have mental health qualifications and work within a dynamic MDT to support recovery and social inclusion, across a diverse coastal region where expatriate and rural dynamics meet.

Qualifications

• Professional mental health qualification (RMN, social work, OT or equivalent).
• Postgraduate qualification relevant to the speciality.
• Safeguarding children and young people level 3 training.

Responsibilities

• Provide complex assessment and care planning for individuals and families.
• Work within a multidisciplinary team to support recovery.
• Engage service users and carers in the community and develop risk management plans.
• Develop and maintain therapeutic relationships to help prevent hospital admission.
• Deliver NICE evidence-based interventions and support social inclusion.

RMN / Social Work Degree / OT

Post graduate qualification relevant to specialism
