Job summary

Devon Partnership NHS Trust is recruiting a part-time Band 7 Specialist Mental Health Practitioner within Children and Family Health Devon in North Devon. The post supports experienced professionals in a senior clinical role, delivering specialist assessments, formulations and evidence-based interventions for children and young people with complex needs.

You will work in a multi-disciplinary team, provide supervision and training, and contribute to service development while ensuring safeguarding

Qualifications

• Experience in child and adolescent mental health with complex needs.
• Ability to conduct specialist assessments, formulation and interventions.
• Capable of risk assessment and safeguarding.
• Knowledge of NICE guidelines and evidence-based practice.
• Experience in supervising staff and providing training.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and develop care plans.
• Deliver CBT, DBT-informed and systemic family interventions.
• Manage a caseload of children and young people with moderate to severe mental health difficulties.
• Provide clinical supervision and training to colleagues.
• Collaborate with health, education and social care partners.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and participate in audits.
