Blue Legal have partnered with a prestigious UK law firm to recruit a Senior Communications Executive to support the firm’s central communications strategy. This role involves managing both external and internal communications, working closely with lawyers and the business development and marketing teams to drive key projects and initiatives. The successful candidate will be joining the firm at an exciting time of growth and development within the business development, marketing, and communications functions.

The Responsibilities:

  • Development of PR strategies and manage day-to-day PR activities – identifying comment opportunities, pitching articles, and media coverage for significant matters.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key media contacts and manage databases of key publications and contacts for firmwide or specific sector use.
  • Prepare lawyers for press meetings, interviews, and media appearances by creating briefing notes and providing guidance on best practices.
  • Drafting, editing, and managing external communications such as news stories, website content, insights, and targeted communications.
  • Contribute to digital marketing efforts and support the management and creation of content for the firm’s website.
  • Development and implementation of the internal communications strategy, supporting significant firmwide communications and change projects.
  • Identifying opportunities for storytelling and producing content for internal audiences.
  • Using analytics to monitor the effectiveness of internal communications.

The Candidate:

  • Previous experience in communications or marketing, with some PR experience (2-4 years).
  • Experience working within a legal / professional services environment.
  • Strong writing and editing abilities, for creating compelling content and adjusting the tone to suit various audiences.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and organise team efforts to achieve goals.
