Job summary

White Trading Limited is seeking a Senior Communications Engineer to safeguard mission-critical radio and cellular systems at Heathrow Airport. You will lead fault investigations, coordinate technical recovery during incidents and mentor engineers in a demanding operational environment.

You should bring strong PMR/DMR/TETRA knowledge, RF engineering expertise, and experience with RF-over-Fibre and DAS. Security clearance and stakeholder management are key for success.

Qualifications

• Significant experience with mission-critical radio/ cellular infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of PMR, DMR and TETRA technologies.
• Experience in RF-over-Fibre and DAS systems.
• Solid RF engineering principles understanding.
• Ability to manage complex technical incidents and perform root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical support across mission-critical radio and cellular systems.
• Lead investigations and resolution of complex faults and incidents.
• Act as technical escalation point for engineers.
• Coordinate technical recovery during major incidents.
• Mentor and support less experienced engineers.
• Undertake advanced fault diagnosis across RF, fibre, IP and telecoms infrastructure.
• Support upgrades, commissioning and lifecycle replacement programmes.
• Plan and oversee preventative maintenance.
