Job summary

PSD Group seeks a Senior Engineer to lead mission-critical radio and cellular systems at Heathrow Airport. The role spans operational support and strategic service improvements across a broad estate, including DMR/PMR, 2G-5G, RF and IP networking.

You will mentor engineers, drive incident resolution, and collaborate with suppliers to maintain resilient services that meet future demands in a busy, safety-critical environment.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting mission-critical communications in operational environments.
• Proven ability to lead technical incidents and root cause analysis.
• Strong stakeholder liaison and mentoring capability.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for mission-critical radio and cellular services.
• Lead investigation and resolution of complex incidents and outages.
• Drive continual service improvement through proactive maintenance and RCA.
• Mentor and support engineers, sharing knowledge and developing team capability.
• Support introduction of new technologies into live service.
• Manage relationships with equipment manufacturers and engineering partners.
• Work with stakeholders to ensure resilient, future-ready services.
