Job summary

Unify in Central London is seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager to own the process from start to finish on a major commercial project. The role focuses on commissioning and integration of MEP and BMS systems on site.

You will lead commissioning activities, ensure systems are tested, integrated, and handed over in line with programme requirements, industry standards, and safety practices. Permanent or contract options available, with a salary band of £85,000–£95,000.

Qualifications

• Experience as Commissioning Manager on commercial M&E projects, including BMS.
• Strong understanding of commissioning procedures, integrated testing, BMS integration, and handover requirements.
• Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple workstreams effectively.
• High attention to detail with a strong focus on safety, quality, and system performance.
• Willingness to take responsibility and ownership of commissioning delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the overall commissioning strategy for BMS, mechanical, and electrical systems through to handover.
• Coordinate commissioning activities across subcontractors, direct labour, and site trades to ensure smooth M&E integration.
• Manage ITCA activities, witness testing, and commissioning documentation in collaboration with Project Engineers.
• Oversee QA/QC, handover documentation, as-built information, and Health & Safety file contributions.
• Act as the primary point of contact for commissioning progress and resolve integration issues to protect programme and quality.
