In the role of Senior Commissioning Engineer, we'll count on you to:
- Ensure our commitments to clients are delivered on time, with the required level of detail and quality.
- Manage the commissioning process.
- Validate the commissioning process and ensure results meet requirements.
- Inspect existing systems to assess performance.
- Provide consultative advice on commissioning and performance requirements, strategies, and scopes of work.
- Conduct measurements, surveys, and technical inspections.
Additionally, at all times:
- Engage with team members to improve systems and procedures.
- Act as a Champion in specific technical areas.
- Promote the company and group through marketing activities.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to health and safety policies at all times.
- Work diligently, efficiently, and professionally.
- Ensure technical compliance and high-quality deliverables.
- Collaborate with main contractors to develop commissioning strategies aligned with project goals.
- Use company project and management systems effectively.
- Monitor project finances and control expenditures.
- Attend meetings and prepare technical, commercial, and program reports.
- Develop project-specific commissioning documents and procedures.
- Review drawings, manuals, and submittals technically.
- Create method statements and test scripts.
- Report project scope changes internally.
- Evaluate project progress, difficulties, and costs with the team.
- Perform hands-on commissioning work as necessary.
General Duties
- Arrange test instrumentation in advance.
- Assist in tender development.
- Accurately complete timesheets weekly.
- Support colleagues proactively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Engineering degree and/or LEED accreditation.
- Strong controls background preferred.
- At least 4 years of industry experience with mechanical, electrical, and controls disciplines.
Required Qualifications
- Willingness to travel to site locations as needed.
- Experienced engineer, licensed PE or field technician with strong MEP knowledge.
- Good computer and typing skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Project.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Familiarity with design documents and delivery of design & construction services.
- Strong understanding of construction practices and systems engineering.
- Knowledge of project accounting and financial tools.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
