In the role of Senior Commissioning Engineer, we'll count on you to:
  1. Ensure our commitments to clients are delivered on time, with the required level of detail and quality.
  2. Manage the commissioning process.
  3. Validate the commissioning process and ensure results meet requirements.
  4. Inspect existing systems to assess performance.
  5. Provide consultative advice on commissioning and performance requirements, strategies, and scopes of work.
  6. Conduct measurements, surveys, and technical inspections.
Additionally, at all times:
  1. Engage with team members to improve systems and procedures.
  2. Act as a Champion in specific technical areas.
  3. Promote the company and group through marketing activities.
Responsibilities
  1. Adhere to health and safety policies at all times.
  2. Work diligently, efficiently, and professionally.
  3. Ensure technical compliance and high-quality deliverables.
  4. Collaborate with main contractors to develop commissioning strategies aligned with project goals.
  5. Use company project and management systems effectively.
  6. Monitor project finances and control expenditures.
  7. Attend meetings and prepare technical, commercial, and program reports.
  8. Develop project-specific commissioning documents and procedures.
  9. Review drawings, manuals, and submittals technically.
  10. Create method statements and test scripts.
  11. Report project scope changes internally.
  12. Evaluate project progress, difficulties, and costs with the team.
  13. Perform hands-on commissioning work as necessary.
General Duties
  1. Arrange test instrumentation in advance.
  2. Assist in tender development.
  3. Accurately complete timesheets weekly.
  4. Support colleagues proactively.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Engineering degree and/or LEED accreditation.
  2. Strong controls background preferred.
  3. At least 4 years of industry experience with mechanical, electrical, and controls disciplines.
Required Qualifications
  1. Willingness to travel to site locations as needed.
  2. Experienced engineer, licensed PE or field technician with strong MEP knowledge.
  3. Good computer and typing skills.
  4. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Project.
  5. Excellent communication skills.
  6. Familiarity with design documents and delivery of design & construction services.
  7. Strong understanding of construction practices and systems engineering.
  8. Knowledge of project accounting and financial tools.
  9. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
