Senior Commercial Procurement Consultant, Key Responsibilities:

• Procurement Leadership: Lead and manage complex procurement projects within the defence, rail, utilities, or construction sectors, ensuring successful delivery aligned with both public and private sector standards.
• NEC Contract Management: Demonstrate expertise in NEC contract management, ensuring compliance, risk mitigation, and the achievement of optimal project outcomes.
• Strategic Sourcing: Develop and implement strategic sourcing initiatives that drive value, efficiency, and innovation across major projects.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate closely with clients and senior stakeholders to deliver commercial procurement strategies that meet both short- and long-term goals.
• Public & Private Sector Experience: Utilize knowledge of both public and private sector procurement processes to lead projects with diverse contractual and regulatory requirements.

Senior Commercial Procurement Consultant, Required Background and Qualifications:

• Sector Expertise: Extensive experience in procurement within defence, rail, utilities, or construction sectors, ideally in both public and private sector environments.
• NEC Contract Mastery: Strong understanding and experience of NEC contract management, ensuring successful negotiation and compliance with industry standards.
• Commercial Acumen: Proven ability to manage commercial procurement projects, delivering strategic sourcing initiatives and negotiating complex supplier contracts.
• Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with experience managing relationships with key stakeholders in both consultancy and client-side settings.
• Education and Certification: Relevant qualifications in procurement, contract management, or supply chain (CIPS or equivalent) are highly desirable.
