We are urgently seeking 3x DevOps engineers (two engineers, one Senior Engineer) to join our Defense client's team. The role will essentially be remote in nature, but occasional travel to UK sites may be required. Candiates MUST have active UK SC Clearance.

Key Responsibilities

Using Azure ADO to support Azure cloud migration projects from on-premises or other cloud providers using Azure Migrate as the primary method of migration.

Support project team in source workload assessment and readiness for migration.

Troubleshoot issues identified through UAT and post migration.

Design and implement Azure-based infrastructure solutions (IaaS and PaaS).

Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud environments for performance and cost-efficiency.

Automate deployments and infrastructure configurations using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform.

Ensure cloud environments are secure and compliant with organizational and regulatory standards.

Provide technical documentation, knowledge transfer, and mentoring to support teams.

Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and recommend cloud solutions aligned with business objectives.

Skills Required

Proven hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including key services like:

• Azure Migrate
• Azure Compute (VMs, App Services)
• Azure Networking (VNet, NSG, Load Balancers)
• Azure Storage and Databases (Blob Storage, Azure SQL)
• Azure Identity & Access Management (Azure AD, RBAC, Managed Identities)
  
  

Experience in cloud migration projects (e.g., Lift-and-Shift, Re-platforming, Re-architecting).

Experience of both Windows and Linux OS

Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Bash) and automation tools (ARM, Bicep, Terraform).

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.

Understanding of cloud security, governance, and cost management best practices.

Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes in Azure AKS) is a plus.

Preferred Certifications

Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)

Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)

Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400)
