Job summary

BJF Group is seeking a highly capable Commercial Plumber/Mechanical Engineer to manage, install, maintain, and repair complex plumbing, heating, ventilation and drainage systems across commercial, industrial and public sector buildings. This role involves hands-on plumbing work plus technical mechanical engineering knowledge to meet UK standards.

The ideal candidate will have an NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing and Heating, G3 Unvented, 3–5 years of UK experience and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing and Heating is required.
• G3 Unvented qualification is required.
• 3–5 years of proven experience as a commercial/industrial plumber or mechanical maintenance engineer in the UK.
• Full UK driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair commercial hot and cold water systems and drainage.
• Work on heating systems including boilers and radiators; support HVAC mechanical components.
• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Conduct testing, commissioning and fault diagnosis on plumbing/mechanical systems.
• Ensure work complies with UK Building Regulations and WRAS.
• Demonstrate health & safety awareness in all tasks.
• Work at heights with relevant IPAF/PASMA certification when required.
• Collaborate with teams across projects to deliver quality outcomes.
