Job summary

BJF Group is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Plumber/Mechanical Engineer to manage, install, maintain, and repair complex plumbing, heating, ventilation, and drainage systems within commercial, industrial, and public sector buildings across our Bovington site. The role blends hands-on plumbing expertise with mechanical engineering knowledge to ensure compliance with UK standards and regulations.

Based in Bovington, you will undertake installation, commissioning, fault finding, and system

Qualifications

Minimum 3-5 years experience in commercial/industrial plumbing or mechanical maintenance in the UK.
Full UK driving licence.
NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing and Heating is required.
G3 Unvented qualification is required.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain and repair commercial hot and cold water systems, drainage systems, pipework and mechanical plant.
Work on commercial heating systems (boilers, radiators) and support HVAC mechanical components.
Interpret schematics, blueprints and drawings to install/repair to specification.
Conduct commissioning, pressure testing and fault diagnosis for plumbing and mechanical systems.
Ensure all work complies with UK standards (Building Regulations, WRAS).
Demonstrate health and safety awareness and operate at heights with appropriate certification (IPAF/PASMA).
Fault finding and proactive problem solving of complex mechanical faults.
