Job summary

Expanded Structures, the specialist reinforced concrete basement, substructure and superstructure frame division of Laing O'Rourke, seeks a Senior Commercial Manager for a high‑profile Sizewell C civil project in Suffolk. You will drive commercial performance across the project from pre‑construction to completion.

Role requires strong NEC contract experience, proven delivery of major civil works, and capability to lead procurement, change, risk and early warning processes, while coordinating

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher degree in a relevant field (QS, civils or commercial management).
• Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts and commercial governance.
• Proven track record delivering major civil/infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee commercial activities from pre-construction through to completion.
• Manage financial performance, forecasts, risk and opportunities.
• Oversee major subcontract packages including procurement, administration, changes, accounts and claims.
• Lead change control and manage commercial risks and opportunities.
• Provide commercial and contractual advice to project teams, clients and supply chain partners.
• Maintain robust governance and contract compliance.
• Identify escalation points that may impact performance.
• Support continuous improvement and best practice across the team.
• Provide guidance to the wider Commercial team.
