Airbus Helicopters is the world’s largest helicopter manufacturer and the company’s site at Oxford Airport is Britain’s civil helicopter hub.
AHUK offers considerable experience in helicopter sales, bespoke completions, maintenance and spares support. Its in-house engineering capabilities include design, customisation, installation, flight-testing and certification, as well as technical support, maintenance, training and the supply of spares for civil and military applications.
AHUK is the MoD’s chosen provider of helicopters and maintenance for its Defence Helicopter Flying school (referred to as MFTS) located in RAF Shawbury (Shropshire) and RAF Valley (Anglesey).
Description/Overall purpose of the Job
To deliver timely, efficient and ethical Commercial activities to the AHUK business in accordance with Airbus commercial policies and current legislation and regulations including;
Coordination and generation of Offers, Bids and Tender responses
Drafting of contracts for goods and services and maintaining an up to date suite of standard agreements and conditions of sale.
Managing a portfolio of contracts to ensure their full and proper execution
Liaising with both AH and external legal teams to ensure legal standards and regulations are met.
Drafting and generating reports to the business and customers
Representing AHUK in a commercial capacity in meetings with customers and other external bodies.
Acting as an Ambassador for the Airbus Ethics and Compliance Policy
Main responsibilities
To ensure that all Commercial activities are performed strictly in accordance with Airbus commercial policies and directives are within the bounds of prevailing legislation and regulations and comply with all Airbus Ethics and Compliance policies.
To ensure Airbus Commercial Processes are followed at all times (refer Airbus CES)
Work in conjunction with the Offers Team for the generation of Offers, Bids and Tenders and in particular lead on the submissions of tender responses and documents.
Support the Campaign Team as required with Commercial expertise and advice.
Maintain an appropriate and up to date suite of standard conditions and agreements for the delivery of goods and services, supply of goods and services from suppliers and other miscellaneous activities including Non Disclosure Agreements (NDA), Service Level
Agreements (SLA), Letters of Intent (LoI) and Memorandums of Understanding (MoU).
To maintain a register for all commercial contracts issued by the company.
Generate and maintain an effective contract management tool to forecast and monitor the full execution of all contracts during their actionable life.
Draft contracts for the supply of Goods and Services, Supply Agreements, SLAs, LoIs, NDAs, MoUs and others as required by the AHUK business.
Liaise with both AH and external legal teams to ensure compliance with legal standards andAH Policies.
Manage the execution of a portfolio of contracts from their release to full and final delivery including;
Invoicing
Contact changes and additions
Contract review and reporting of KPIs, financial performance and on time / on quality delivery both internally and externally
Attending meetings with customers and others as required by the contract
Contract termination and closing
Follow up Customer Satisfaction reports and contribute to route cause analysis studies to establish plans for continuous improvements
Contribute to Business plans, OP forecasts and board reports.
Draft and publish AHUK business reports including objectives and financial performance.

Gross Margin, Operational Margin and EBIT
OPEX and Structural Cost performance to target
On time, on quality and on cost delivery of aircraft and services
Cash profile of contract
Customer Satisfaction Index
Knowledge and Skills
Good knowledge of the Aerospace Industry gained through sales, operations or support background
Strong commercial acumen
Confident with Financial statements and reports
Confident with complex contractual instruments and documents
Able to generate and present clear concise reports
Excellent IT skills in particular with:
Google suite, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Project
Knowledge of SAP and SalesForce
Education, Qualifications or Training
Essential
Business, Law or Financial degree or equivalent
Desirable
Project Management
Commercial contract law and implementation
Helicopter maintenance or production training or qualifications
Aircraft logistics support training
About you
Strong leadership skills with a positive approach to problem solving
Resourceful and adaptable
Extensive experience in commercial management roles.
Good experience within the Aerospace Industry in sales, operations or support.
Knowledge of UK Helicopter civil or military market desirable
Knowledge of UK MoD commercial process desirable
Additional requirements
Due to the nature of this position you will require DBS Security Clearance and be eligible for SC clearance.
Applicants must meet any/all requirements of Export Compliance Regulations.
