Pertemps Tm is seeking a Commercial Director to lead architecture, quantity surveying and consultancy engagements from Bristol/Bath/Birmingham. The role focuses on strategic commercial leadership across multiple projects, ensuring profitability and risk control throughout the lifecycle.

The successful candidate will drive contract reviews, risk assessment and governance, supporting project teams to deliver commercially viable outcomes. This is a senior, influential, non-sales position.

Qualifications

• Significant experience managing commercial aspects of construction, engineering, or consultancy projects.
• Strong grasp of JCT/NEC contracts and commercial governance.

Responsabilités

• Review contracts, fee proposals, scopes of work and consultant appointments.
• Provide commercial advice on contracts, novation, liabilities, warranties and PI matters.
• Identify and manage commercial risks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support project teams with change management, fee recovery and contractual issues.
• Advise on commercial disputes, claims and risk mitigation.
• Improve commercial reporting, processes and governance across the business.
• Collaborate with senior management to provide commercial guidance and support.
• Mentor colleagues to raise commercial awareness across the business.
