Pertemps Tm is seeking a Commercial Director for Architecture/Quantity Surveying/Consultancy, based in the UK with flexible/location options in Bristol, Bath or Birmingham. The role focuses on strategic commercial leadership across multiple projects and teams, not sales, emphasizing risk management, governance and value delivery.

The successful candidate will drive contract governance, fee negotiations and commercial performance, providing guidance to project teams and ensuring profitability

Competenze

• Significant commercial management experience in construction, engineering, contracting or consultancy.
• Strong understanding of JCT/NEC contracts and risk management.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.

Mansioni

• Review contracts, fee proposals, scopes of work and consultant appointments.
• Provide commercial advice on contracts, liability, warranties and PI matters.
• Identify and manage commercial risks across the project lifecycle.
• Support project teams with change management and fee recovery.
• Advise on commercial disputes, claims and risk mitigation.
• Improve commercial reporting, processes and governance across the business.
• Collaborate with senior management to provide commercial guidance.
• Mentor colleagues to improve commercial awareness.
