Brown & Brown UK is seeking a Senior Commercial Key Account Handler in Orpington to support Account Executives in retaining and growing commercial client portfolios. You will negotiate terms with insurers, prepare renewal documents, and ensure accurate client records while delivering high-standard service.

• Assist Account Executives to retain and generate new business toward targets.
• Obtain new business/renewal terms and negotiate with insurers; prepare documents for customers.
• Ensure customer data is recorded accurately in the system and up to date.
• Review policy documents to ensure coverage matches client needs.
• Attend customer meetings and record minutes; support service delivery standards.
• Manage day-to-day queries, renewals, amendments and mid-term adjustments; build insurer relationships.

Overview

We are currently looking for a Senior Commercial Key Account Handler to join our professional and welcoming team in Orpington.

You will be joining a busy, proactive team of brokers who specialise in Commercial Insurance. This is the perfect role for someone with previous experience in either a commercial/corporate broker or insurance company looking to develop their commercial insurance skills and their career.

Working alongside like minded and experienced insurance brokers this is a long term opportunity with a ‘forever company’ that will provide career progression and security.

Day to day

• Working alongside Account Executives to retain and generate new business, in line with or in excess of, company targets
• Obtaining new business/renewal terms, negotiating and closing with Insurers Create documents for new customers, along with any mid-term adjustments and renewals information too.
• Ensure all customer details are recorded accurately and entered onto system in a timely fashion
• Checking policy documents, covers, endorsements etc. to ensure that they are correct and in line with the customer’s needs.
• Attending customer meetings and preparing meeting minutes
• Working on all aspects of account management and service delivery to customers, ensuring customers’ needs are identified and met in line with agreed service standards
• Manage all day-to-day queries, renewals, amendments and mid-term adjustments
• Build and maintain relationships with customers, prospects, teams and insurers to provide best in class service and drive growth
• Sharing ideas to develop our proposition at a senior level and impact change across junior members of the team
• Mentoring less experienced colleagues to develop and rive high standards
• Opportunities to provide training sessions to junior team members in conjunction with training team
• Maintaining day to day Compliance procedures for FCA Regulation Maintain a detailed understanding of changing market condition and understands and complies with all compliance, professional and transparency standards to better serve clients Incoming and outbound call handing - new and existing customers
• This role offers hybrid working once initial training plan has been completed with an expectation to be in the office only three times a week thereafter
