Job summary

IDEX Consulting Ltd. is seeking an experienced Commercial Account Handler in Poole to manage a portfolio of commercial clients, handle renewals, mid-term adjustments and new business support with a high standard of client service.

You will work closely with Account Executives, maintain robust insurer relationships and ensure documentation, schedules and records are accurate and compliant. CII progress is advantageous, and the role offers a structured path within a growing brokerage.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of commercial insurance products, policy wordings and renewal processes.
• Experience renewing policies, handling mid-term adjustments and general policy administration.
• Strong communication with clients, insurers and colleagues, with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Account Management: manage day-to-day servicing for a portfolio of commercial clients with a professional, responsive approach.
• Renewals: coordinate renewal processes, obtain insurer terms and prepare renewal documentation.
• Mid-Term Adjustments: process policy amendments and liaise with insurers for appropriate terms.
• New Business Support: assist with quotations, market presentations and policy documents.
• Client Relationships: act as primary contact for client enquiries and maintain strong relationships.
• Insurer Liaison: maintain relationships with insurers and underwriters to obtain quotes and negotiate terms.
• Policy Administration: ensure documentation, schedules and records are up to date and issued on time.
• Claims Support: liaise with clients, insurers and claims teams for queries and smooth experience.
• Compliance: keep client records accurate and ensure regulatory requirements are met.
• Team Collaboration: work with Account Executives and colleagues to deliver joined-up service and client retention.
