Job description

Our client is a very high quality, award winning, independent insurance brokerage based in the Yorkshire area. They operate primarily on a “home based” contract but with monthly meetings and get-togethers to discuss both work and have a bit of a social.

The have a large and loyal client following, covering a wide variety of commercial and corporate insurance and including some very interesting and complex areas or expertise. They operate in a highly professional manner and focus on being an ethical business with lots of charity and community project involvement.

This brand new role has been created due to fantastic organic growth and requires an individual who enjoys broking and account handling as well as focusing on client relationships and some people management. You will have a portfolio of your own clients to manage on a daily basis as well as taking a lead in client relationship building. You will also be providing support to the MD in managing the team.

Applicants will be commercial or corporate brokers / account handlers with at least 5 years relevant experience dealing with a wide range of commercial clients. Ideally you will have excellent communication skills and enjoy building longstanding client relationships (some client visits may be required from time to time); in terms of man management, some previous experience would be preferred, whether that’s in a specific management role, or as a senior broker, managing in an unofficial capacity.

As stated above, this is a home based role and you will be measured on the quality of work, not the number of hours.
