Job summary

A leading defense contractor in Greenock is seeking a Senior Combat Systems Engineer to assist in producing and developing complex designs in line with technical standards. The ideal candidate will be involved in the System Engineering design Lifecycle and possess an HNC/HND in an engineering discipline. Benefits include a competitive pension scheme and flexible working arrangements. Salary is up to £49,000 dependent on skills and experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in a highly regulated environment is preferred.
• Demonstrable experience of design/integration of Engineering Systems.
• Possess a preferred accreditation as Incorporated or Chartered Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Assist Technical Lead with complex designs in line with specifications.
• Provide support to Installation, Set to Work and Trials activities.
• Investigate System Obsolescence of Ship installed parts.

Skills

Understanding of System Engineering design Lifecycle

Experience of System Physical and Functional Integration

HNC/HND in engineering or scientific discipline

Education

Academic qualification in Engineering or related STEM subjects
