Job summary

Westray Recruitment Group is seeking a Senior CNC Router Operator to join our client in Leeds and work day shifts on a permanent full-time basis.

You will program, set and operate CNC routers, read job packs, and mentor apprentices while maintaining high-quality components and safe working standards. This role includes leadership responsibilities and opportunities to develop skills within a collaborative production team.

Qualifications

• Hands-on role requiring strong CNC router experience.
• Experience in leading and mentoring apprentices.
• Ability to read job packs and select materials/tooling.

Responsibilities

• Program, set and operate CNC routers to produce high quality components.
• Read job packs and select materials, tooling and machining strategies.
• Maintain workflow and monitor production progress.
• Provide training and mentoring to apprentices and new CNC operators.
• Take technical ownership within the designated area of responsibility.
• Cross-train with the wider production team.
• Support CNC operators with daily tasks and guidance.
• Maintain a clean, safe and compliant working environment.
