Job summary

Meritus is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer for a Portadown, Northern Ireland role in aerospace/precision engineering. You will lead NPI projects, perform offline CNC programming for 3–5 axis milling using MasterCAM/CATIA V5, and design fixtures and tooling to optimise production.

You will verify NC programs with Vericut, develop machining strategies, and create processes and set-up documentation while collaborating with Production and Quality to drive improvements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in precision manufacturing/CNC environments.
• Experience with CAM software and CNC machining strategies.
• HND or engineering degree or equivalent apprenticeship.
• Collaborative, practical team contributor.

Responsibilities

• Lead NPI projects for aerospace components.
• Offline CNC programming for 3-, 4-, 5-axis milling.
• Design fixtures and workholding.
• Select tools and develop machining strategies.
• Verify NC programs with Vericut and support prove-out.
• Create manufacturing processes and set-up docs.
• Collaborate with Production and Quality to improve processes.
• Support projects from concept to production.
