Job summary

Elsevier is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer II to design, build, and maintain our AWS-based infrastructure powering global information platforms. You will own complex systems initiatives, from cloud architecture and automation to reliability engineering, mentoring junior engineers, and partnering with software development, security, and operations teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in systems or infrastructure engineering with hands-on AWS experience.
• Strong knowledge of core AWS services (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, Lambda, CloudWatch).
• Proven Infra as Code experience (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, or Go).
• Experience with CI/CD tooling and automated deployment pipelines.
