Role Profile

In this role, you'll join our Azure Engineering team within Cloud Productivity & Engineering (CPE) as a Senior Cloud Software Engineer. You will be involved in developing our Cloud Management Engine (CME), focusing on building, developing, and automating our Azure cloud platform to accelerate the time-to-market of innovative finance products. In collaboration with Microsoft, we aim to transform how LSEG utilizes the cloud platform.

Responsibilities include:

• Designing, developing, and building complex cloud API-driven services and capabilities.
• Collaborating with architects, developers, and engineers to ensure efficient Azure self-service automation capabilities.
• Participating in decision-making on API architecture, automation services, and desired state configuration.

Tech Profile / Essential Skills

• Minimum 5 years' experience in software engineering or development with a focus on Microsoft platform solutions.
• Deep knowledge of API development & management, Azure Application and Innovation services, and cloud-native components like Azure Functions, LogicApps, and Integration Services.
• At least 5 years' hands-on experience with C#.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for 5+ years.
• Proficiency in agile methodologies, CI/CD principles, and practices.
• Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Azure DevOps, Jira, and GitLab.
• Effective communication skills with internal customers, team members, and management.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• 3-5 years with Go/Python and/or PowerShell.
• At least 5 years' hands-on experience with Azure Services.
• Understanding of financial markets and experience working within a product-centric organization.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate in diverse teams.
• Previous roles as a Software Developer or DevOps Engineer.

Education and Professional Skills

Relevant professional qualifications/certifications include:

• Azure Developer Associate
• DevOps Engineer Expert

and a BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related STEM field.

Detailed Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance LSEG's Cloud Management Engine (CME), serving as the API-driven orchestration layer for self-service across the business.
• Automate the integration of external applications to enable end-to-end customer deployments.
• Collaborate with Azure platform engineers, architects, and partners on CME development.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, promoting standard practices in Azure automation, development, and DevOps.
• Participate in product activities to meet operational needs and ensure documentation is current.
• Provide high-quality customer service and adhere to demand, incident, and change management procedures.
