Job summary

AlphaSense is seeking a Senior Cloud Security Engineer to strengthen security across our multi-cloud environments (AWS and GCP). You will own security projects end-to-end, from scoping to shipping controls and measuring outcomes, with high autonomy in a hands-on role.

Ideal candidates have containerized environments, IaC, Kubernetes experience, and strong problem-solving skills. You will work with security tooling, CI/CD and compliance frameworks to deliver robust cloud security.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in cloud security or security-focused infra/DevOps.
• Hands-on with containerized environments and Kubernetes.
• Strong AWS (and GCP) knowledge and IaC experience.
• Programming/scripting (e.g., Python) for automation.
• Experience with cloud security posture management tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and automate security controls for cloud infrastructure across AWS and GCP.
• Maintain, integrate and scale cloud security tooling and CSPM platforms.
• Investigate and remediate security vulnerabilities in cloud infrastructure.
• Design access controls across cloud and Kubernetes environments with zero-trust principles.
• Partner with incident response teams to build detections and mitigate incidents.
• Develop security standards and guardrails and embed into CI/CD/GitOps workflows.
• Collaborate with compliance teams to meet ISO 27001, SOC 2 and GDPR requirements.
