Job summary

The Walt Disney Company is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Cloud Account Management (CAM) team. You will design, build, and support automation and tooling to enable secure, self‑service AWS usage for Disney Streaming and other applications.

You will collaborate with DevOps and software engineers, implementing best practices for IAM, security, and cloud‑native services while guiding deployment patterns across teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience or equivalent.
• Production‑quality Python development experience.
• Experience with deployment and CI/CD tools (Terraform, GitHub Actions, Spinnaker, Jenkins).
• Backend development with Python and API design experience.
• Hands‑on AWS Security/IAM administration and policy creation for many users.
• Familiarity with Docker and containerization concepts.
• Experience with Unix/Linux systems.
• Clear written and verbal communication with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with operational troubleshooting tools and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Write automation tools for internal teams to self‑service in AWS environments.
• Build on AWS with IAM, security policies, and cloud‑native services.
• Champion security standards for cloud operations.
• Configure IAM permissions for users and workloads in AWS.
• Provide guidance on service design and deployments.
• Own initiatives and contribute to future solution designs.
• Be a go‑to technical resource across teams.
• Monitor and address inbound issues.
