Job summary

On is seeking a backend engineer with strong TypeScript experience to join our London-area team. You will build and operate cloud-native services that scale with RFID integrations and microservice architectures.

You will lead collaborations with engineers, product and business stakeholders, shaping the platform's future while working in a hybrid environment. Bonus: Kubernetes, Kafka and Terraform experience.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with TypeScript on the backend.
• Proven ability to lead the development of large-scale systems in a team.
• Track record deploying and maintaining cloud-native apps.
• Strong collaboration with engineers, product and business stakeholders.
• Able to work with diverse teams and communicate remotely and on-site.
• Bonus: experience with Kubernetes, Kafka and Terraform.

Responsibilities

• Write well-tested, scalable and reliable code that integrates On’s system with RFID solutions.
• Develop, maintain and operate cloud-native applications using microservice architectures.
• Design, evaluate and plan forward-looking projects to advance On’s technology.
• Drive technical projects to create more robust services.
• Help shape On’s engineering culture and contribute to its current and future success.
