Job summary

Sanderson is seeking an experienced Solution Architect to join a major technology modernisation programme in the UK. The role focuses on transitioning a complex technology estate from legacy platforms to a modern, cloud-native, domain-oriented and event-driven architecture.

You'll design API-first architectures, implement event streaming with Kafka, and deliver cloud-native solutions in AWS, building robust microservices and applying Domain-Driven Design to complex environments.

Qualifications

• Significant practical experience designing and delivering distributed systems.
• Strong knowledge of AWS cloud-native architectures.
• Experience with API-first design and event-driven patterns.
• Proven ability to define microservices and distributed architectures.
• Expertise in Domain-Driven Design and modern application platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design API-first architectures and integration patterns.
• Explore and implement event streaming and messaging technologies, including Kafka.
• Design and deliver cloud-native solutions within AWS.
• Define microservices and distributed system architectures.
• Apply Domain-Driven Design to complex technology environments.
• Work with engineering teams to turn architecture into working solutions.
• Assess and select technologies and tooling with engineers.
• Ensure solutions are scalable and producible.
