Job summary

Free-Work seeks a Senior Solutions Architect to join our client’s Central London offices. You will lead complex solution designs across cloud-native platforms, microservices, API management and data integration, aligned with sales and delivery teams.

The role requires hands-on architecture across Java/J2EE or .NET, AWS or Azure, DevOps, security and performance considerations, and a proven enterprise-scale background. Travel up to 40% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering (computer, electronics)
• 20+ years of Solutions Architecture experience in customer-facing roles
• Experience with enterprise-scale application platforms and cloud migrations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in global delivery environments and travel up to 40%
• Familiarity with architecture modeling tools; TOGAF is a plus
• Proven track record in designing scalable enterprise solutions
• Experience delivering solutions with Agile / Scrum methodologies
• Strong ability to translate business needs into technology solutions
• Proficiency in Java/J2EE or .NET and database tech (Oracle, MySQL)

Responsibilities

• Work with sales, practice and delivery teams through pre-sales and proposals
• Develop customer proposals – architecture, estimates, timelines
• Translate requirements into architecture diagrams and roadmaps
• Align architecture with business strategy and technology challenges
• Engage with business and IT to ensure alignment with vision
• Build trusted advisor relationships with business and technology leaders
• Maintain ongoing project alignment with the solution vision
