Job summary

Hargreaves Lansdown is seeking a Senior Integration Engineer to design and build cloud-native integrations and APIs on AWS, and to engineer data pipelines and hubs to support data reuse and governed data assets.

You will liaise with Product engineering and business teams to drive patterns for adoption and work with Data Platform, Architecture and Product teams to deliver end-to-end integration solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and delivering AWS-based integrations and APIs.
• Hands-on TypeScript development for APIs and integration services.
• Proficient in API-first, RESTful and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with dbt, Snowflake, data modelling and data quality.
• Experience in CI/CD for apps, infra and data workloads.
• Familiar with schema versioning, contract testing and backward compatibility.
• Strong testing automation and observability practices.
• Incident support and root-cause analysis capability.

Responsibilities

• Engage with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to define integration needs and patterns.
• Lead design and implementation of cloud-native integration solutions on AWS.
• Build secure, scalable APIs and data pipelines with governance and testing in mind.
• Collaborate with Data Platform, Architecture and Product teams to align with standards.
• Establish automated testing, monitoring, and deployment within CI/CD pipelines.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers across teams.
