Job summary
Our Future Health is seeking a Senior Application Security Engineer to advance engineering-led AppSec across our cloud-native stack. You will partner with squads to embed security into code, Kubernetes workloads, and CI/CD using GitHub Actions, with a strong focus on secure design and policy as code.
You will strengthen security services, shape tooling, and drive threat modelling across platforms like Databricks, Snowflake, and AKS.
Qualifications
- Hands-on AppSec engineering across SDLC and CI/CD pipelines.
Responsibilities
- Partner with development teams to embed security into code, applications, Kubernetes and containerised workloads.
- Promote shift-left secure engineering practices.
- Implement and operate code scanners (SAST/DAST/IAST/SCA).
- Mature Secure Development Lifecycle and CI/CD with GitHub Actions.
- Advise on securing APIs and high-risk components.
- Secure data platforms like Databricks, Dagster, Snowflake.
- Develop security policy as code using OPA or similar.
- Document security processes and tooling designs.
- Contribute to security service documentation for consistent delivery.
