Job Description:

Kent – Hybrid (2-3 days on site)

VIQU has partnered with a leading automotive organization looking to expand their Cloud team. As a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding cloud architecture, implementing security best practices, and providing actionable solutions to evolving security challenges. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in cloud security, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively as a stakeholder.

Job Duties of the Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and secure cloud infrastructure.
• Manage Kubernetes platforms across both on-premises and cloud environments.
• Serve as a senior technical stakeholder, taking ownership of key cloud initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with the Information Security team to ensure compliance with security standards and best practices.
• Use Terraform to define and manage infrastructure as code (IaC).
• Partner with DevOps teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
• Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot complex applications and infrastructure environments.

Requirements of the Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer:

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT infrastructure and cloud engineering.
• Strong expertise in AWS cloud networking and third-line infrastructure support (e.g., Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, VPCs).
• Solid hands-on experience managing and troubleshooting Kubernetes environments, including experience with both on-premise and cloud Kubernetes.
• At least 4 years of hands-on AWS security experience, including services such as VPC, EKS, EC2, IAM, and Route 53.
• Proven experience in system architecture, including compute, memory, and storage design.
• A proactive individual with a growth mindset, ideally seeking progression toward an Architect-level role in the near future.
