Job summary

Picture More Ltd is seeking a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to lead end-to-end migrations from on-prem to Microsoft Azure across international locations. The role is based in London with a hybrid pattern (3 days in the office, 2 remote) and involves close collaboration with Infrastructure Architects and Platform Engineering teams to deliver complex cloud transformation programs.

• Proven experience delivering complete, large-scale cloud migrations within a global organisation.
• Involved across the full migration lifecycle, not just isolated workstreams.
• Strong hands-on Microsoft Azure engineering experience, ideally including Azure Migrate.

Responsibilities

• Deliver end-to-end migrations from on-prem infrastructure to Microsoft Azure across multiple locations.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure Architects to implement cloud solutions.
• Own the technical execution of migration projects from prep to deployment and post-migration optimisation.
• Manage and support enterprise cloud and on-premise infrastructure.
• Work with Platform Engineering to improve automation, standardisation and cloud operations.
• Identify and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities, performance issues and deployment challenges.
• Ensure cloud environments meet security, compliance, resilience and DR requirements.
• Optimise cloud infrastructure for performance, scalability and cost.

Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

£100,000 to £115,000 | London | Hybrid (3 days office, 2 remote)

Have you successfully delivered large-scale, global cloud migrations from start to finish? Are you a hands‑on Cloud Infrastructure Engineer who enjoys turning architectural plans into fully operational cloud environments?

We are recruiting for a leading international professional services organisation seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join its global IT team.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering complex, international cloud transformation projects, working closely with Infrastructure Architects and Platform Engineering teams.

What will you be doing?

• Delivering end-to-end migrations from on-premise infrastructure into Microsoft Azure across multiple international locations.
• Working alongside Infrastructure Architects to implement agreed cloud solutions.
• Taking ownership of the technical execution of migration projects, from initial preparation through to deployment, cutover and post-migration optimisation.
• Managing and supporting enterprise cloud and on-premise infrastructure.
• Working with Platform Engineering teams to improve automation, standardisation and cloud operations.
• Identifying and resolving infrastructure vulnerabilities, performance issues and deployment challenges.
• Ensuring cloud environments meet security, compliance, resilience and disaster recovery requirements.
• Optimising cloud infrastructure for performance, scalability and cost.

What are we looking for?

• Proven experience delivering complete, large-scale cloud migration projects within a global organisation.
• Demonstrable involvement throughout the full migration lifecycle, rather than responsibility for isolated elements of a programme.
• Strong hands‑on Microsoft Azure engineering experience, ideally including Azure Migrate.
• Extensive experience with enterprise on‑premise infrastructure, including VMware, Cisco UCS and Dell EMC.
• Knowledge of networking technologies including Cisco ACI, F5, Palo Alto firewalls and SD‑WAN.
• Experience with cloud automation, configuration management and infrastructure security.
• Exposure to Terraform, PowerShell, Kubernetes or similar technologies would be advantageous.
• Experience collaborating with architects and international infrastructure teams.
• Excellent communication, troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• A proactive, delivery‑focused approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities.

Important: This is a hands‑on engineering and implementation position, not an architecture or design role. Candidates must demonstrate successful delivery of substantial global cloud migrations, rather than involvement in individual workstreams or smaller standalone projects.
