Job summary

Cloud Know How is seeking a skilled Cloud & Infrastructure Solutions Engineer to join our Professional Services Solutions team in the UK. You will lead delivery of Azure projects from design through to implementation, with workshops, health checks and client-facing activities.

As part of the Azure Solutions Team, you’ll collaborate with stakeholders, design Azure solutions per the Well-Architected Framework, and maintain documentation while keeping certifications up to date.

Qualifications

• AZ-104 Microsoft Azure Administrator certification or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of Azure infrastructure services and modernisation.
• Experience with cloud design and hybrid environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Azure projects from design through implementation and testing.

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Microsoft Azure Engineer to join our Professional Services Solutions team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of Azure projects covering design, implementation, and the release of capability to our clients. This role requires deep technical expertise in Azure technologies, excellent problem-solving, and strong customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities

You will be working within our Azure Solutions Team; your primary focus will include working within our team and directly with our clients to deliver cloud infrastructure and modernisation projects as well as workshops, health checks, and providing escalation support to front-line teams. This will likely include all phases of the project from planning through design to configuration, delivery, and testing.

You’ll work closely as part of a well-established team that will guide and assist you. We will also provide the requirements for your development plan to stay ahead of your profession and maintain all the required certifications to ensure you meet expert status.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

• Design, deploy Microsoft Azure solutions that adopt and comply with the "Azure Well Architected Framework".

• Develop and maintain documentation for systems, processes, and procedures.

• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on the latest industry trends and technologies

As a Cloud & Infrastructure Solutions Engineer, you will have:

• Technical knowledge of Azure, including, but not limited to;

• Azure Infrastructure Services

• Azure Platform services, for example:

• App Services

• Database Services

• Storage services

• Azure backup and recovery services

• Azure Monitor

• Strong understanding of Microsoft Entra ID, hybrid identity, Modern authentication, and Single Sign-on

• Good level of knowledge of Windows Server operating systems

• Working knowledge of networking concepts and hybrid network design.

• Good understanding of Microsoft reference architectures and when they should be used.

• Able to articulate and demonstrate the capabilities of Microsoft Azure with regard to how Azure can provide solutions to business problems, and the ability to articulate business benefits of Azure to client stakeholders.

• A passion for learning new technologies and methodologies

• Analyse current business practices, processes, and procedures and identify future opportunities for modernisation.

• Ideally, as a minimum, you will hold the AZ-104: Microsoft Azure Administrator certification.

• Desirable exams are likely to include AZ-700, AZ-900, AZ-140, etc.

About you

You will have a strong technical background with Azure and have worked within I.T. infrastructure (on-premises / hybrid and/or cloud-native), preferably with large organisations and enterprise scale platforms. You will also have experience working for an MSP or service provider. You will have demonstrable certifications and experience in deploying Infrastructure and platform-based solutions or experience in managing modern platform services, and be comfortable delivering to tight timescales whilst managing multiple Azure projects in various environments.

This role will appeal to someone who enjoys maintaining knowledge of technology through active involvement in solution delivery, whilst still wanting to develop their career through expanding their skill set in digital transformation. This role involves extensive work with modern Azure platform services and will not suit an engineer who only has exposure to lift+shift virtual machine migrations.

Salary - £55,000-£65,000 per year depending on experience
