About this role

You’ll work with high-performing infrastructure and software engineering teams, supporting the UK business’ multi-year migration to AWS by solving complex problems and leading solution migrations within an established public cloud footprint.

What you’ll do

• Lead design and delivery of solutions in our AWS environment, focusing on automation and streamlining tasks to enable application engineering and accelerate new business features.
• Collaborate with SMEs, Engineers, Architects, and stakeholders to initiate, design, socialize, approve, and deliver solutions, including handover to Support.
• As part of the Outcome Team Leadership and an agile delivery team, blend hands-on engineering with mentoring, influence technical direction, and promote high standards and innovation.
• Work with management and stakeholders to define migration and capability roadmaps.
• Build relationships across teams, including Cybersecurity, Operations, and the wider engineering community.
• Identify and promote engineering patterns, capabilities, and best practices for Operational Excellence, Security, and Quality Engineering.

What we’re looking for

• A capable technical lead passionate about solving complex problems, delivering quality solutions, and mentoring engineers.
• Experience with cloud migration, re-platforming, or re-hosting solutions into public cloud environments.
• Strong scripting, DevOps tooling, and solution design or full-stack development skills.
• Ability to translate business and technical requirements into solutions and communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
• Diverse technical background, ideally including cloud engineering and enterprise technology.
• Effective communication and influence skills to work collaboratively across teams.
• A growth mindset with interest in learning new technologies, tools, and frameworks.
• Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices.
