Job summary

Colibri Digital is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, implement, and manage a cloud-based data platform that consolidates legacy data services. You will build scalable pipelines, model data, and ensure governance and security across the data estate.

You will collaborate with architects, cloud engineers, and data scientists to deliver high-quality data services for decision-making and revenue-generating insights, while working fully remotely in the UK.

Qualifications

• Excellent understanding of Azure data tools, especially Databricks.
• Proven experience as a Data Engineer working with Azure data services.
• Strong data modeling concepts across relational and non-relational stores.
• Proficient in SQL and data integration/ETL tools like Azure Data Factory and Databricks.
• Experience with data warehousing concepts (Azure Synapse, Data Lake Storage).
• A familiarity with big data tech (Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.
• Knowledge of data governance and data security best practices.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail; good team communication.
• Ability to collaborate with stakeholders and remote teams; Agile experience is a plus.
