Zusammenfassung

EnerMech is seeking a senior data engineer to own key workstreams on the Azure Databricks data platform, spanning data modelling, pipelines, and the underlying Azure infrastructure. You will contribute to CI/CD, DevOps, and DataOps practices, ensuring a reliable and scalable platform with strong security and governance.

The role is fully remote in the UK, supporting the Enterprise Business Systems function with global stakeholders across time zones.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 6+ years in data engineering including 3+ years with Azure Databricks in production.
• Ownership of medallion architecture design and data modelling.
• Implemented data quality frameworks and data contracts in production.
• PII protection across environments.
• Platform engineering experience beyond consuming services.
• Autonomous delivery with stakeholder engagement.
• Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate (minimum).

Aufgaben

• Design and build assigned workstreams on the Azure Databricks platform from scoping to production deployment.
• Maintain the medallion data model and ensure data quality.
• Build and optimise Delta tables and materialised views for performance at scale.
• Define compute configurations per workload balancing performance and cost.
• Contribute to Terraform-managed infrastructure and DevOps pools.
• Own Azure DevOps pipelines, repository security and branch policies.
• Support environment-level Azure configuration and Terraform state management across storage accounts.
