Job summary

Tech4 in Oxford is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to shape and scale our cloud-based data platform. You will own the data pipelines, optimize workflows, and collaborate with Data & BI to deliver enterprise reporting and dashboards.

The role requires extensive Azure experience (ADF, SQL Server, Fabric, Synapse), strong SQL and Python, CI/CD with Azure DevOps, and the ability to work with offshore teams while maintaining data quality and security.

Qualifications

Minimum a BSc/BA in Computer Science or related field.
5+ years in Azure SQL Server, Azure Data Factory, Fabric or Synapse.
Experience with Azure Data Warehousing and NoSQL is a plus.
Advanced SQL with CI/CD automation using Azure DevOps.
Proficiency in Git for version control and collaboration.
Strong Python scripting for data automation and pipelines.
Experience with Power BI or similar analytics tools.
Knowledge of GDPR and data security practices.
Agile/SCRUM experience with offshore teams.
Ability to translate business needs into technical specifications.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain the cloud-based data platform.
Analyze information requests and drive enterprise reporting with business units.
Write scripts to import/export data while preserving integrity.
Extract data for automated reporting with governance and compliance.
Select technology solutions to meet corporate goals and scale data architecture.
Build, monitor, and optimize ETL processes and data stores.
Provide documentation including data dictionaries and schemas.
Collaborate with developers, product owners and analysts on new apps.
Ensure data security policies are followed and data quality remains high.
