Job summary

The Methodist Church in Britain seeks an experienced Band 7 senior clinician to join the Spelthorne team of the North hub for school-based mental health services. You will mentor and supervise trainee and newly qualified low intensity CBT practitioners, consult with school staff and hold a caseload of direct interventions.

The role requires registering as a health or social care professional with a relevant body, plus post-qualification experience.

Qualifications

• Registered health or social care professional in a relevant discipline (e.g., clinical psychology, CBT therapy, mental health nursing, social work, OT, art therapy, or systemic family therapy).
• Registration/accreditation with HCPC/NMC/BABCP is required.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and supervise the development of low intensity CBT practitioners (EMHPs/CWPs).
• Build a culture of high-quality clinical practice.
• Grow trainee and newly qualified EMHPs/CWPs into well-rounded clinicians.
• Lead on building relationships with senior leaders in schools.
• Provide regular case consultation, support, and advice to schools.
• Link to wider children''s mental health services.
• Develop programmes of work with educational psychologists for whole-school approaches.
• Hold a caseload and deliver direct interventions to children, young people, and families.
