Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead collection, analysis and reporting of KPI data for benchmarking.
• Provide information to patients regarding clinical trials IMPs.
• Ensure IMP processes comply with GCP and MHRA requirements.
• Develop and review departmental clinical trial SOPs.
• Oversee operational management of the Pharmacy Clinical Trials Service.
• Manage IMP receipt, dispensing, returns and temperature excursion reports.

Job description

This Senior Clinical Trials Pharmacy Technician position focuses on coordinating the effective communication of clinical trials related matters to the wider Pharmacy department and other healthcare professionals.

Professional requirements

• Minimum of 2 years' work
• Applicants must have current UK professional registration
• Level 3 NVQ (QCF) Diploma Pharmacy Service
• Level 3 National Certificate in Pharmacy Services, or Diploma Pharmaceutical Science or Level 3 knowledge base programme (Or equivalent qualification
• Computer literate and able to demonstrate a good depth of ability to use excel, word programmes
• GCP qualification
• You’ll need previous experience of conducting audit / project work
• (post qualification) as a qualified Pharmacy Technician to include hospital roles
• Able to communicate with patients and all grades of healthcare staff (verbally and in writing)
• Prioritisation, excellent time management, the ability to plan and execute long-term projects and maintain multiple projects at once

Clinical responsibilities

• Lead the collection, analysis and reporting of Key Performance Indicators (KPI) data for benchmarking and identify any variations or concerns for discussion
• Provide written and oral information to patients regarding clinical trials IMPs
• Provide specialist advice and assurance that all IMP processes comply with GCP, MHRA requirements
• Develop and review departmental clinical trial work and standard operating procedures

• Lead the Investigational Medicinal Product (IMP) management, including receipt, dispensing, handing out, returns, temperature excursion reports, and any other relevant activities

Compensation

• Salary: £47,951 to £56,863 a year
• Per Annum including HCAS pro-rata
