Job summary

Care Fertility Northampton invites a HCPC-registered Senior Clinical Scientist for a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover. You will contribute to the safe operation of our embryology laboratory, perform advanced procedures (including ICSI), and support governance and quality initiatives to improve patient care.

Qualifications

• HCPC-registered Clinical Scientist with significant experience in clinical embryology and competence in core embryology techniques, including ICSI.
• Experience of embryo biopsy is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of laboratory governance, quality management systems and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Experience of supporting, training or mentoring colleagues would be beneficial.

As a Senior Clinical Scientist, you'll play a key role in the safe and effective operation of our embryology laboratory. You'll perform advanced embryology procedures, contribute to quality and governance activities, support service development initiatives, and help develop the next generation of scientists through coaching and mentoring.

What We're Looking For:

This is a 12-month fixed-term contract based at Care Fertility Northampton, 67 The Avenue, Northampton, NN1 5BT.

This is a full-time position (37.5 hours per week). Core working days are Monday to Friday, with participation in weekend, bank holiday and on-call rotas.
