Job summary

NHS Lanarkshire is seeking a Clinical Psychologist to join the Neurodevelopmental Service within CAMH, delivering specialist assessments and neurodevelopmental testing for children and adolescents. You will work autonomously within professional guidelines and provide teaching, supervision and research to support service development.

The role involves clinical governance, multidisciplinary collaboration, and opportunities for professional development. A driving licence is required for this post.

Qualifications

• Qualified with a psychology degree meeting GBS eligibility.
• Accredited Doctoral level training in Clinical Psychology.
• HCPC registration maintained once registered.
• Significant post-qualification experience with children and families.
• Training in supervising doctoral psychology trainees and associates.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist psychological assessments for Tier 3 CAMH team.
• Provide supervision to Trainee Clinical Psychologists and associates.
• Teach and supervise trainee psychologists and clinical associates.
• Apply research skills to guide evidence-based practice and service development.
• Collaborate with non-psychology colleagues for care planning.
