Job summary

Devon Partnership Trust is seeking a Band 7 Clinical Psychologist to join the Exeter and East Devon Learning Disability teams, providing senior clinical leadership across the MDTs. You will support wellbeing of people with learning disabilities and supervise staff, trainees and assistants within the psychology service.

The role involves delivering psychological therapies, governance of practice, and collaboration with Nursing, Psychiatry and other therapies in a busy multidisciplinary setting.

Qualifications

  • Doctorate/Masters level or equivalent qualification in clinical/counselling.
  • Eligible for registration with the HCPC.
  • Experience of psychological assessment across care settings.
  • Experience of teaching, training and supervision.
  • Knowledge of Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Psychological Therapies to the community team for people with learning disabilities.
  • Develop specialist psychological formulations and assessments.
  • Provide expert advice, guidance, and consultation to colleagues.
  • Supervise Assistant Psychologists and Trainee Clinical Psychologists.
  • Ensure governance and quality in psychological practice within the team.
