Job summary

Black Country Integrated Care Board is seeking enthusiastic clinical leaders to join the Medical Directorate across Birmingham, the Black Country and Solihull. This sessional leadership opportunity (3 PA) offers clinical influence on strategy, governance and prioritisation, with potential sharing between leads.

You will drive improvements, tackle health inequalities and shape care across complex organisational boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Provide credible, evidence-based clinical leadership and advice to inform strategic commissioning, service transformation and improvement within Clinical Policies or Medicines.
• Lead clinical engagement and build partnerships across primary, community, acute, mental health, local authorities and wider system services.
• Influence development of clinical strategies, pathways and service models to improve quality, safety, patient experience and outcomes.
• Champion prevention, population health and reducing health inequalities; support integration and proactive care closer to home.
• Support innovation, digital transformation, productivity and efficient use of system resources.
• Lead or contribute to clinical programme groups, governance arrangements and system-wide improvement priorities.
• Collaborate with fellow clinical leaders to translate strategic ambitions into measurable improvements for patients and communities.
