NHS Fife Pharmacy and Medicines Directorate seeks a motivated pharmacist for the Medicines Management team. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence prescribing practices and manage medicines utilization while working autonomously. NHS Fife Pharmacy and Medicines Directorate is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic pharmacist to join our Medicines Management team.
The post provides an excellent opportunity for a pharmacist to enter the world of Medicines Management to influence cost effective, safe and evidence based prescribing, medicines utilisation, and evaluation of medicines, including new and novel medicines, formulary management and homecare medicines.
You will have highly effective interpersonal, communication and influencing skills. You will operate with a high degree of autonomy in decisions and judgments relating to Medicines Utilisation and Therapeutics.
You will have a unique opportunity to be part of the transition from local NHS Board formulary and governance to regional working and governance procedures.
You will have a Masters degree in Pharmacy or equivalent and be on the practicing register of the General Pharmaceutical Council and annotated as an independent prescriber, or be willing to work towards this within a given timeframe. You will have demonstrable clinical pharmacy experience and will have completed a postgraduate qualification in Clinical Pharmacy or be able to demonstrate that you have equivalent experience. You will have a regular clinical commitment to a designated group of patient, based on service need and previous skills and experience.
