Circle Health Group's Hampshire Clinic in Basingstoke is seeking a Senior Clinical Pharmacist to join the pharmacy team. This full-time role offers 37.5 hours per week on a 12-month fixed-term contract, with a salary up to £54,325 depending on experience.

You will provide expert clinical input as part of the multidisciplinary team, lead medicines optimisation, mentor junior staff, and contribute to training and development.

Qualifications

• GPhC-registered Pharmacist.
• Significant post-registration clinical pharmacy experience.
• Hospital clinical pharmacy experience preferred.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert clinical pharmacy input as part of the multidisciplinary team, conducting medicines reconciliation, clinical screening, and therapeutic drug monitoring.
• Lead medicines optimisation to ensure safe, cost-effective prescribing.
• Contribute to development/ review of clinical guidelines, protocols and policies.
• Offer supervision/mentorship to junior pharmacists, pre-registration trainees, and pharmacy technicians.
• Support training programmes for pharmacy staff and wider clinical education for nurses and prescribers.

Hampshire Clinic - Basingstoke

37.5 Hours & 12 Month Fixed Term

Salary: Up to £54,325.00 per year (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

We have an opportunity for a Senior Clinical Pharmacist to join their team of staff in the pharmacy department.

This is a full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

Duties of this role include:

• Provide expert clinical pharmacy input as part of the multidisciplinary team, conducting medicines reconciliation, clinical screening, and therapeutic drug monitoring.
• Optimise medicines use through evidence-based interventions, ensuring the safe and effective management of long-term and acute conditions.
• Lead on implementation of medicines optimisation strategies, ensuring prescribing is cost-effective, safe, and aligned with national/local guidelines.
• Contribute to the development and review of clinical guidelines, protocols, and policies.
• Provide supervision, mentorship, and support to junior pharmacists, pre-registration trainees, and pharmacy technicians.
• Contribute to training programmes for pharmacy staff and support wider clinical education for nurses and prescribers.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

• GPhC-registered Pharmacist.
• Significant post-registration experience in clinical pharmacy, preferably in a hospital setting.
• Strong clinical knowledge and experience in medicines optimisation.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.
• Experience in mentoring or supervising junior staff.
