Barking, Havering & Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust is recruiting an enthusiastic Consultant Clinical Oncologist (Lungs) to join a large, established team at Queen’s Hospital, Romford. The post covers lung cancer and another tumour group, with responsibilities spanning outpatient and inpatient chemotherapy, RT/SABR, and on-call coverage.

The role emphasizes MDT collaboration, senior clinical input, and teaching junior staff within a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Full and Specialist registration and a license to practice.
• CCT or date within six months of interview.
• Understanding and competency in managing all stages of Oncology.
• Up-to-date knowledge of regimens and research developments.
• Leadership and ability to teach/train junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide full range of specialist diagnosis, treatment and care for oncology patients.
• Manage lung malignancy including RT/SABR and SACT.
• Collaborate with MDTs and provide both outpatient and inpatient oncologic opinions.
• Participate in oncology urgent/emergency care and on-call arrangements.
• Attend daily consultant/SpR duties and manage care within the day model.
