- Full GMC registration
Desirable criteriaExperienceEssential criteria- At least 6 months experience in intensive care medicine
- Ability to take responsibility for assessment and clinical care of patients
- Experience of NHS or similar healthcare system
Desirable criteria- Experience in cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, neurology or neurosurgery
- Experience in anaesthesia, medicine or surgery
SkillsEssential criteria- Ability to communicate effectively in all situations
- Skills appropriate for a senior doctor in intensive care including advanced airway management
- ALS or CALS qualification within 4 years.
Desirable criteria- Completed QIP or audit in intensive care
- Evidence of activity in research or teaching
- Intensive care related course, conference
KnowledgeEssential criteria- Knowledge appropriate to the role of senior doctor on intensive care
Desirable criteria- Postgraduate medical qualification
OtherEssential criteria- Ability to manage priorities and work within a team
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
Desirable criteria- Non-technical skills training
