Job summary

St. George's University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Senior Clinical Fellow in Adult Critical Care. The role requires a Medical Degree, full GMC registration, and relevant experience in intensive care medicine. Successful candidates will manage critically ill patients and contribute to departmental improvements while upholding the trust's values of excellence, kindness, responsibility, and respect.

Qualifications

Qualifications and Training

Essential criteria
  • Medical Degree
  • Full GMC registration
Desirable criteria
  • MRCP/FRCA/MRCS/MRCEM
Experience

Essential criteria
  • At least 6 months experience in intensive care medicine
  • Ability to take responsibility for assessment and clinical care of patients
  • Experience of NHS or similar healthcare system
Desirable criteria
  • Experience in cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, neurology or neurosurgery
  • Experience in anaesthesia, medicine or surgery
Skills

Essential criteria
  • Ability to communicate effectively in all situations
  • Skills appropriate for a senior doctor in intensive care including advanced airway management
  • ALS or CALS qualification within 4 years.
Desirable criteria
  • Completed QIP or audit in intensive care
  • Evidence of activity in research or teaching
  • Intensive care related course, conference
Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Knowledge appropriate to the role of senior doctor on intensive care
Desirable criteria
  • Postgraduate medical qualification
Other

  • Ability to manage priorities and work within a team
