NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is recruiting Senior Clinical Fellows in Geriatric and Stroke Medicine for a rotational shift pattern starting from August 2025. The role offers comprehensive clinical duties, including ward responsibilities and rehabilitation, with opportunities for further training in a major healthcare system serving over 1 million people.
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing around 40,000 staff across a wide range of clinical and non-clinical roles. We provide acute hospital, primary, community, and mental health services to a population of over 1.15 million, expanding to 2.2 million when regional and national services are included.
The shift pattern for this post is rotational.
Senior Clinical Fellow positions are available at ST3 level or above from 6th August 2025 for 12 months. These posts are based at Glasgow Royal Infirmary and may include cover for off-site rehabilitation beds at Lightburn or Stobhill Hospital.
There are 1 WTE positions in Geriatric Medicine Interest and 1 WTE in Stroke Interest.
Within the department, there are opportunities to gain further experience in General Medicine, Geriatric Medicine, and Stroke Medicine. Clinical duties include ward responsibilities, clinics, rehabilitation ward rounds, weekend cover, and contribution to the general medical on-call rota.
Applicants must possess full GMC registration. Completion of MRCP is preferred.
