Job summaryThis is a Senior Clinical Fellow post in Hepatobiliary and Liver transplant Anaesthesia based at the Royal Free Hospital. The post holder will join an existing pool of deanery trainees in the anaesthetics department who are taking part in a comprehensive ST3+ (specialist trainee year 3 and above) training program in anaesthesia and intensive care medicine.
This role is offered as a 12 month FTC or two sequential 6 month FTCs.

Anaesthesia for elective HPB theatres
Anaesthesia for elective complex major surgery

Person SpecificationQualificationsEssential- GMC registration
- MBBS or equivalent
- FRCA or equivalent
- ALS
- Strong oral and written communications in English
DesirableAnaesthetic knowledge and experienceEssential- Minimum 5 years ICU/Anaesthetics experience (incl 3 year anaesthetics)
- Logbook evidence of experience
Desirable- Experience of ERAS pathways
- Able to deal with general emergency admissions
- Experience in managing acute pain
Qualities and attributesEssential- Ability to work within a multi- disciplinary team
- Ability to build good relationships and work collaboratively with staff at all levels of the organisation
